BCR Point Leaders Retain Positions

Although none won A Feature races Friday, all four point leaders at the Boone County Raceway retained their positions following action Friday, June 13, at the fairgrounds track in Albion.
Involved in the tightest point battle of the four BCR classes, Bryan Molt of Cedar Rapids had the best night of the four leaders Friday, placing second in the Hobby Stock A Feature – one spot ahead of his closest rival, St. Edward’s Chris Tenski.
Jason Gaver of Columbus built the largest cushion among leaders with a third-place run in the Modified A event. Albion’s Mark Lueken ran third in the Late Model A race and kept firm control on that division despite not having a BCR feature win in 2008.
Humphrey’s Randy Hooker finished fifth in the Street Stock A Feature, but actually added to his season advantage as nearest challenger Mark Hooker ran seventh.
