Huge crowd on hand for final fair events

Record crowdSchool bus races and the combine demolition derby attracted a sell-out crowd to the final night of the Boone County Fair on Wednesday evening, July 23. The Fair Board reported total attendance of 4,600 people, and several hundred people had to be turned away due to lack of space.

This represented a record attendance at least for recent years, at a single fair event. Above photo shows only a small portion of the grandstand crowd.
