After a one-week postponement due to inclement weather, the Boone County Raceway in Albion was back in business Friday, May 14, with its second racing card of the season.
As on opening night, Neligh’s Jason Wilkinson stole the show in the Hobby and Street Stock classes, winning both A events to go 4-for-4 in 2010.
Local drivers Mark Lueken and Tyler Iverson gave hometown fans plenty to cheer about, finishing 1-2 in the Modified A Feature and Mike Wiarda of Aurora emerged from a fast field to win the special SLMR Late Model A Feature race.
After two weeks of racing, Wilkinson maintained his leads in the Hobby and Street Stock divisions and Iverson edged a point in front of Lueken in the Modified standings. Norfolk’s Robert Osborne is the leader among regular BCR Late Models, which did not race Friday due to the SLMR feature.
