Race Leaders Remain On Top At BCR

2nd-bcr-races-205.jpgBoone County Raceway season point leads remained static Friday, June 18, despite several new feature race winners at the fairgrounds oval in Albion.
Colby Langenberg of Norfolk won his 2nd BCR Hobby Stock A Feature of 2010, but Neligh’s Jason Wilkinson retained a comfortable lead in the season standings after a 5th place feature run.
Chad Humston of Lincoln grabbed the top spot in the 2nd Holt County Sprints A Feature of the season. Gary Reber of Gregory, SD, 3rd Friday night,  still tops the sprint class season points.
In the other three classes of competition, season leaders won features Friday to solidify their top positions.
With a victory in the Street Stock A event, Wilkinson pushed his advantage to 11 points over Albion’s Mark Hooker. Tyler Iverson captured the Modified feature this week and holds a nine-point cushion over fellow Albion driver Mark Lueken. Lueken won the Late Model A race Friday, increasing his comfortable lead in that division to 16 points over Albion’s Mike Kelley.
Racing will continue Friday, June 25, at the Boone County Raceway with a card featuring the regular four classes – Hobby, Street Stock, Modified, Late Model – of competition.
