Hank Thieman of Petersburg was honored at an open house last Sunday, Nov. 7, for more than 30 years of service to Boone County.
The event, organized by county employees, attracted many county residents, as well as officials and residents from many other areas in Nebraska. About 150 people attended.
Thieman was first elected to the Boone County Board of Commissioners in 1978. When he leaves office in January, 2011, he will have completed 32 consecutive years on the board.
