Boone County Planning Commissioners spent much of their meeting Monday night, Jan. 24, discussing lack of compliance with county zoning regulations.
Barb Hanson, zoning administrator, reported that she will have at least 30 letters going out to county residents who have built structures without first obtaining zoning permits.
Zoning regulations require permits for all new structures, including additions to existing structures in rural areas.
Hanson also reported that her office had received two complaints regarding expansion of livestock facilities without a permit.
