Cornerstone Legion Baseball of Albion on its second straight Juniors game Friday, June 3, to improve to 2-3 in 2011.
Hosting Twin Plains at the Albion Sports Complex, Cornerstone grabbed an early lead and kept the pressure on, ending the contest by the eight-run rule following five innings.

Pierce Koch followed with a walk before Skyler Weber’s triple cleared the bases. Weber stole home to give Cornerstone a 4-0 advantage.
The local juniors answered two runs by Twin Plains in the top of the second with two of their own in the bottom of the frame, Parker Struebing and Logan Olson singled and scoring on a double by Koziol.
Cornerstone built its lead to 8-2 in the fourth when Brett Temme blasted a one-out home run and Jarecki singled home Olson. The game ended with runs by Koch and Weber giving Cornerstone its eight-run cushion.
