At its monthly meeting Monday evening, Aug. 22, the Boone County Planning Commission approved a redevelopment plan for a new grocery store at Petersburg and conditional use permit to split a rural farmstead.
The planning board found that the redevelopment plan for Rae Valley Market was consistent with the county’s comprehensive plan, as well as the comprehensive plan for Petersburg. The board also adopted a resolution recommending approval of the redevelopment plan for the business.
The village is redeveloping five lots on the northwest corner of the Highways 14-32 junction, where Larry Temme plans to relocate his store, Rae Valley Market, from its current downtown building.
