Much of Monday’s Boone County Commissioners meeting was spent discussing road conditions with a group of residents who use 145th Street west of Petersburg.
A petition signed by some 36 residents west of Petersburg had been submitted to the commissioners, requesting that the present three miles of asphalt road on 145th Street be maintained, and that the county replace one mile of asphalt road that was removed earlier this year.
Eight of the petitioners attended Monday’s meeting to register their complaints in person. Several said the county is “going backward” in road conditions.
