Village Superintendent Doug Koch asked the Petersburg Village Board, at its monthly meeting Tuesday, March 6, if the board had considered a spring clean-up. A dumpster can be obtained for $230 for a weekend and $69 per ton in weight. This would be an industrial dumpster where lumber and other remodeling and other refuse could be placed.
Chairman Tony Thieman stated, “I think it’s well worth it. We need to get the town looking good before the Q125.” It was suggested to place it on Main Street where everyone could use it, and also be noticed. Board members gave Koch the authority to order the dumpster.
