Henry Leads Card Golfers

Boone Central finished 15th in the big Wayne “Mac’ Invite field of 19 golf teams, with junior Hunter Henry bringing home the Cardinals’ lone medal.
BC compiled an 18-hole team total of 386 at the Wayne Country Club. Henry finished 20th individually after tieing with eight other golfers at 85.
Mid-State champion Hartington Cedar Catholic won the invitational with a 331 total, edging Blair by a single stroke. O’Neill and the Norfolk High JV were third at 338.
Jack Peterson of South Sioux City was the tournament medalist after breaking a tie at 74 with Brad Lanman of Battle Creek. Blair’s Vance Janssen was a stroke back at 75.
In addition to Henry’s 85, scores compiling Boone Central’s team total belonged to Sean Soll (92), Chris Ketteler (101) and Alex Johnson (108). Jackson Meyer carded a 110.
