Norfolk driver Tad Pospisil obviously enjoys racing at the Albion fairgrounds oval.
Pospisil, who is dominating the Late Model season point race at the Boone County Raceway in 2012, proved that again Monday night by winning the feature event of the Boone County Fair Street Stock and Limited Late Model program.
With a $1,000 top prize available for Late Model drivers and $600 up for grabs in the Street Stock class, drivers provided action Monday as hot as the July weather.
Troy Bruns captured the first heat checkers, followed to the line by Donald Hille and Justin Bertschniger. Chad Bruns won heat two ahead of Ron Pettitt and Doug Adamy and Shawn Primrose took heat three, trailed by TeJay Miekle and Darrin Adamy.
St. Edward favorite Ron Grape won the Street Stock B Feature, followed to the finish by Billy Christman of St. Edward, Zach Zentner of Cedar Rapids and Albion’s Kevin Krohn.
Doug Adamy turned the tables on the heat winners and took the A Feature checkers in front of Pettit, Troy Bruns and Primrose.
In the featured Limited Late Model division, Matt Buller won the opening heat, followed by Robert Osborne, second in Boone County Raceway 2012 LM points, and Troy Daly.
Pospisil got his night off to a strong start by winning heat two in front of BCR regulars Dean Wilkinson and Greg Krohn of Albion.
Pospisil finished the way he began, in front, winning the big Late Model A Feature ahead of Dave Nall, Chad Jensen and Buller.
