For the first time in a number of weeks, class point leaders struggled at the Boone County Raceway in Albion.
With Championship Night at the fairgrounds facility looming, results Friday, August 10, did not do much to alter the season standings, however.
Although only two of six leaders won A Features Friday and several finished well back in their respective fields, all remained comfortably at the top of their divisions heading into Friday’s Championship Night card.
Norfolk’s Kyle Prauner (Sport Mods) and Cameron Meyer of Pierce (Sport Compacts) were the only season pacesetters to win feature events August 10.
In the tightest of the BCR class battles, TeJay Mielke of Norfolk won the Street Stock A Feature, but season leader Ron Pettitt of Norfolk was runner-up and retained a seven-point advantage in the standings.
