DEQ prepares for Keystone XL pipeline hearing Dec. 4 in Albion

Boone County will host Nebraska’s only public hearing on the Department of Environmental Quality (NDEQ) evaluation of the proposed rerouting of the Keystone XL crude oil pipeline.
The information session and hearing will be held Tuesday, Dec. 4, in the Casey Building on the Boone County Fairgrounds.
The information session will be an “open house” format from 3 to 5:30 p.m. to allow the public to talk with agency representatives involved in the review.
The formal public hearing will follow at 6 p.m. in the same location.
