Big storm blows down trees, causes power outages in Albion Friday night

Tree falls on pickup at Devine home.A thunderstorm caused some damage in Albion when it blew through the area Friday night, June 14, between 7 and 9 p.m.
Heavy winds topped several trees, bringing down power lines and causing spot power outages in the community.
At the home of Andy and Michelle Devine, a large tree fell in the back yard, smashing the bed of their pickup truck, severing a power line and destroying a neighbor’s fence. The tree also damaged the Devine’s garage.
Another large tree was split at Sixth and Fairview Streets.
Tree branches were also down in Fuller Park and most residential areas.
