Arnie Johnson to coach 2014 Shrine Bowl North

The Shrine Bowl of Nebraska Inc., is proud to announce the 2014 Shrine Bowl coaching staffs.
Arnie Johnson of Boone Central/Newman Grove will be the Head Coach for the North team in the 2014 contest. His staff will include Jeff Bussey (Boone Central/Newman Grove), Kurt Frenzen (Columbus Lakeview), Greg Bohn (Bennington), Mike Huffman (Bellevue West), and Jarod Meysenburg (Omaha North).

Jason Hale of Holdrege will be the South Head Coach, assisted by Chad Bailey (Holdrege), Carlie Wells (Perkins County), Chad Jepsen (Gretna), Ryan Thompson (Ashland-Greenwood), and Rob Mason (Bellevue East).
Johnson has a career high school coaching record of 215-121-1 and has led Cardinal teams to the state finals three times, winning the Class C-1 championship in 2001.
The 56th Annual Shrine Bowl game will be played Saturday, June 7, at the University of Nebraska-Kearney’s Ron and Carol Cope Stadium at Foster Field. The Shrine Bowl is played to recognize many of the best senior football players in the state, with the goal of raising funds for the Shriner’s Hospital for Children and benefit the Shrine Hospital transportation funds.
