Village Board decides against animal ordinance change

Changing the zoning laws to reflect allowing more animals within the village limits was addressed again at the Petersburg Village Board meeting held Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013.
Chairman Tony Thieman stated, “The board is not in favor of changing the ordinance.”
Petersburg resident Rob Miller asked that the board proceed with the vote, because there was no reason to rehash the issue. He asked that the board make their vote on the basis of speaking with their constituents.
The board voted unanimously to retain the present zoning ordinance.
