Warning system to be tested April 4

Petersburg Civil Defense Coordinator Vet Stuhr will be testing the Petersburg warning system on Friday, April 4 at 10 a.m.
The warning alarm will sound for three full uninterrupted minutes. If a tornado were actually approaching, this continuous sounding of the siren
would indicate immediate danger and the need to take shelter. There is no all clear siren sounded.
Residents are reminded that in case of a tornado, shelter is available in the bank basement during normal banking hours, and the middle
school basement during school hours. St. John’s church basement will be open any time day or night. Check to see if your neighbor has a shelter available.
If you are out of town, let someone know so time won’t be spent looking for you if a disaster were to occur.
