Board accepts resignation, approves hirings

Boone Central School Board accepted one teacher resignation and approved two hirings during its May 12 regular meeting at Petersburg.
The board accepted a resignation from Megan Bode, agriculture instructor and FFA advisor for the past year. Superintendent Cory Worrell said Ms. Bode is resigning to pursue other employment in the ag industry.
Her replacement will be Abby Knobbe, currently the ag education teacher at Spalding Public School. The board approved Knobbe’s 2014-15 contract at BA 18 Step 6 on the salary schedule.
The hiring of Theresa Wilke as half-time preschool teacher was also approved by the board as part of preschool expansion for next year. Superintendent Worrell said Wilke will be lead teacher in the three-year-old preschool classroom next year.
