County’s preliminary property valuation up more than 25%

This will be another year for big increases in Boone County’s overall property valuation based on preliminary totals from the county assessor’s office.
The total 2014 preliminary valuation for all Boone County property stands at $1,953,898,969, according to County Assessor Joyce Sock.
That would be an increase of $403,164,860, or 25.99 percent, from last year’s total valuation of $1,550,734,109.
The figures are preliminary until the county’s property valuation is certified in August.
