Area farmers learn more about potential Syngenta lawsuit

Area farmers learned more about a potential lawsuit against agribusiness giant Syngenta at a meeting with attorneys Thursday night, Feb. 12, in Newman Grove.
Attorney Aaron Rankin, with the law offices of A. Craig Eiland, PC, of Galveston, TX, addressed about 40 farmers in the Newman Grove Community Center. Local attorney Jeff Peetz of Endacott Peetz Timmer also took part in the presentation and will be working with the Eiland firm in handling contracts with area farmers who wish to join the action.
The potential lawsuits will allege that actions by Syngenta Seed Inc. adversely impacted the corn market for all U.S. farmers.
