Back on the track at Boone County Raceway

Drivers were back on the track Friday at the Boone County Raceway after rain washed out racing on the final night of July.
Although Mother Nature again interfered late this past Friday, eager fans were able to see exciting action in five feature events. The Sport Modified feature was rained out at the end of the card and will be run as an added race on Championship Night August 14.

With just the final big night of racing remaining, point leaders in most classes solidified their positions August 7.
Modified class leader Jacob Anson and Ramsey Meyer, leader in the Sport Compact point race, won features Friday to build on their advantages. Robert Osborne held on to his lead in the Late Model division with a third-place feature run, while Hobby Stock leader Tiffany Bittner continued to enjoy a big advantage after finishing fourth in Friday’s feature race.
In the tightest BCR season battle, Jason Wilkinson edged two points ahead of Chad Bruns with a feature win in the Stock Car class, coupled with Bruns’ fifth-place finish.
