On the heels of one of its best seasons in recent years, the Boone Central/Newman Grove volleyball program had three players honored in Mid-State All-Conference voting by league coaches.
Seniors Elissa Slizoski and Celine Dunlap were selected Mid-State All-Conference for the 2015 season and junior Jenna Kramer received All-Conference Honorable Mention.
Slizoski was the leading attacker for the 14-14 Cardinals and one of the team’s best all-around performers. She finished with 245 kills on 748 attacks, while hitting at an 82 percent success rate. She was also a 96 percent server, with 17 aces in 2015. Defensively, Slizoski was among team leaders with 227 digs and 12 blocks.
Dunlap directed the Cardinal offense and anchored the back row defense. She registered 690 assists on 2,436 sets and led the team with 23 ace serves. Dunlap was second among Cardinals with 273 digs and also made 13 blocks over the course of the season.
Kramer was an imposing figure at the net, contributing 143 kills while hitting 76 percent. She led the team in blocks (17), added 155 digs and served 18 aces.
