Boone County area buried in snow

Boone County Courthouse is barely visible during the storm Tuesday morning.It was a storm so big it had a name.
Winter Storm Kayla was hammering the Great Plains on Monday and Tuesday, and the conditions were serious in the Boone County area by Tuesday morning.
Accumulations of a foot or more of snow were expected, driven by winds out of the north.
The storm stretched from eastern Colorado through Nebraska and Iowa, and into Wisconsin and Illinois.
In Albion, drifts of four to five feet deep were common, and drifts were even deeper in the rural areas. The process of digging out and clearing roads continued Wednesday and Thursday.
