Dropping eggs from the Middle School roof

Boone Central Middle School students worked with their advisory groups last week to create a contraption that would carry an egg safely to the ground when dropped off the school’s three-story roof.
Students could only use a limited amount of materials. They were permitted to use: 20 cotton balls, two sheets of a newspaper, five pieces of paper, part of an egg carton, two plastic grocery bags, 10 straws, three meters of masking tape, 10 popsicle sticks, two meters of toilet paper, 30 ml. of white glue, 10 rubber bands and five balloons. The designs ranged from simple to complex structures.
