Early voting underway in primary

Nebraska’s 2016 primary election is underway, and many Boone County residents have already cast their ballots early, either by-mail or in person.
Election day will be next Tuesday, May 10, when the ballots will be tabulated and counted.
Boone County has five precincts that are by-mail voting only. Voters who cast ballots by mail should be mindful that the ballots must arrive at the clerk’s office by Tuesday, May 10, at 8 p.m. in order to be counted. County Clerk Kathy Thorberg advises voters to mail their ballots by Friday, May 6.
