More debate on county roads

Boone County Commissioners had a relatively short agenda for their May 16 meeting, but further debate and discussion of county roads extended the meeting.
Several County Road Department employees attended the meeting.
Bill Frey, road employee in the Albion shop, said he felt commissioners “kind of threw us under the bus” with comments from the May 9 meeting that appeared in the Albion News.
Frey said he went out and talked to people who use the roads in his district, and they told him they felt the road employees were doing a good job in keeping the roads maintained. He asked Commissioner Jerry Tisthammer to drive the roads in his area and look at them.
