‘Rapunzel’ coming to Albion Saturday

It’s out of the tower and on the run as a zany cast of friends and foes help Rapunzel’s harrowing escape from the towering imprisonment of Madame Gothel. Add a dash of French flair and a pinch of personal triumph and friendship, and you have a story you won’t forget!
On Saturday, June 25, the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) and dozens of area students present an original musical adaptation of Rapunzel.
Performances on Saturday will be at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Boone Central Gym, Albion.
Admission is free to Albion Area Arts Council members, but there is an admission charge for non-members. Those who attend the 3 p.m. performance do not have to pay again to attend the 7 p.m. performance.
Area children auditioned for parts on Monday, June 20, and will be in rehearsals throughout the week with MCT staff directors.
The Missoula Children’s Theatre residency is sponsored by the Albion Area Arts Council with support from the Wesley and Irene Mansfield Foundation and the Nebraska Arts Council. For more information, call Paul or Lori Hosford at (402)395-6727.
