Boone Central enrollment increases by four

Boone Central will have more students in the elementary grades, but fewer in grades 6-12 for the 2016-17 school year.
Total enrollment, at 531, increased by four students from last year’s starting total of 527.
The school district again has 60 students in preschool, bringing the total pre-kindergarten through 12th grade enrollment to 591 students.
Elementary starting enrollment includes 237 students in kindergarten through fifth grade, which is an increase of 14 students from last year’s starting count of 223.
Middle school starting enrollment for sixth through eighth grade declined by 10 students, from 116 last year to 106 this year.
High school starting enrollment, grades 9-12, is 188 students, which is identical to last year’s beginning count.
