What better way to work off a big Thanksgiving meal than to get outdoors and run (or walk) 3.1 miles before you eat it?
That seemed to work for more than 60 participants in the second annual “Turkey Trot,” sponsored by the Albion Chamber of Commerce on Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 24.
Weather conditions were damp and chilly, but that didn’t seem to bother the runners and walkers.
The crowd included all ages and many visitors, along with those who live in Albion or Boone County.
Judging of the annual costume contest was held, and winners were Kevin “The Pilgrim” Carder and his dad Jim “The Turkey” Carder. They received a trophy.
All advance registrants received T-shirts. Medals were presented to the top finishers in the various age divisions.
