Nebraska Cattlemen honor Jay Wolf at convention

Jay Wolf of Albion was presented the 2016 Hall of Fame Award during the Nebraska Cattlemen Convention on Dec. 13 at Kearney.
The award highlights Nebraska Cattlemen members who exemplify an ongoing commitment to the beef cattle industry. Presented only once annually, the Hall of Fame award is the organization’s highest honor.
Jay Wolf is a third generation cattleman and along with his family they own and operate Wagonhammer Cattle Company. He is a Past President of Nebraska Cattlemen and the Nebraska Corn-Fed Beef program. He has also held leadership roles on the boards of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and the Cattlemen’s Beef Board.
Jay and his wife, Susie, are trustees of the University of Nebraska Foundation and strong supporters of the Animal Science Department and the Gudmundsen Sandhills Ranch Laboratory. Jay was also recognized as the UNL Animal Science Department’s Block and Bridle Honoree in 2008.
