Jerome C. Landauer, Sr.

Jerome Charles Landauer, Sr., 89, formerly of Albion, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Grand Island Veterans Home in Grand Island.
Jerome is survived by three children: Jerome Jr. “Chuck” (Angee) Landauer of Las Vegas, NV; Kathy (Charles) Troia of Kearney; Vicky Landauer of Las Vegas, NV; eight grandchildren: Eric (Cheryl) Landauer of Blair; Sonya Arpan of North Platte; Arien Jackson and Jesse Jackson, both of Omaha; Shena (George) Peake of New Orleans, LA; Shawn Troia of Denver, CO; Amy Bigelow of Mission Viejo, CA; Anthony Nettles of Las Vegas, NV; 15 great grandchildren: Michael, Zechariah, Liam, Callie, Corban, Hayden, Carson, Landyn, Kayde, Brooke, Brayden, Tatum, Giovanni, Elijah, Tyson; two sisters-in-law: Stella Landauer of Albion; Betty Rech of Floresville, TX; one brother-in-law: Jim Scarlett of Albion; along with many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Becky in 1995; four siblings: LaVern “Shorty”, Donald “Doc”, Irene Fisher and Mary Landauer; 10 siblings of his wife: Bill, Alice, Fred, Anice, Ed, Leta, Zeta, Bob and two in infancy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Albion with Rev. Mark Tomasiewicz officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post 162 and VFW Post 736 of Albion and the American Legion Riders.
Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. wake service, at Levander Funeral Home in Albion.
Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Those attending Jerome’s funeral and visitation are asked to wear clothing in support of the military or the Nebraska Cornhuskers, in honor of Jerome. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.levanderfuneralhome.com.
