The old west “Sunset” wing of GSS Wolf Memorial Home is now gone. It was removed in two days last week by Bygland Dirt Contracting, Inc.
This wing was part of the original Wolf Home building, constructed in 1963. It has been replaced by the new north wing that was completed earlier this spring.
A large amount of debris was hauled away, and concrete was removed last Friday as the last step in the process.
A portion of the wing was preserved and will be renovated to create office and storage space, according to Karen Glesinger, GSS Albion administrator.
