St. Paul 9, Cornerstone 3
Host St. Paul broke open a tight game with seven runs in the final two innings of a 9-3 six-inning win over Albion Cornerstone Tuesday, May 23.
Cornerstone seized the lead in the top of the fifth, Ty Martinsen and Carter Henry crossing the plate for a 3-2 edge. St. Paul bounced right back to score three times in the bottom half of the inning, then secured the victory with four more runs in the sixth.

Cornerstone 8, PWG 5
Albion Cornerstone opened its home schedule Thursday, taking an early lead and holding off PWG for a 8-5 victory.
Martinsen and Choat tallied in the bottom of the first inning, and Cornerstone went ahead 6-0 with a big fourth. Tyson Haddix opened the frame with a double and later scored on Henry’s base hit. Martinsen (hit-by-pitch) and Choat (fielder’s choice) reached and scored in the inning, and Henry came home on Scott Wright’s single.
PWG mounted its first threat in the fifth, collecting four runs off Albion starter Dalton Rasmussen. Cornerstone got two of those runs back in the sixth when Ethan Dozler and Rasmussen each singled and scored. A final run by PWG in the seventh left the visitors short.
