Cornerstone 8, PWG 5

Martinsen and Choat tallied in the bottom of the first inning, and Cornerstone went ahead 6-0 with a big fourth. Tyson Haddix opened the frame with a double and later scored on Henry’s base hit. Martinsen (hit-by-pitch) and Choat (fielder’s choice) reached and scored in the inning, and Henry came home on Scott Wright’s single.
PWG mounted its first threat in the fifth, collecting four runs off Albion starter Dalton Rasmussen. Cornerstone got two of those runs back in the sixth when Ethan Dozler and Rasmussen each singled and scored. A final run by PWG in the seventh left the visitors short.
