Michelle Keele, 26, took over as executive director of the Boone County Development Agency, Inc. on Tuesday, Aug. 8.
She replaces Doug Koch, who has served as executive director since May of 2015. Koch will be working with Keele during a transition period. Mitch Glesinger will remain as BCDA office administrator.
She will also serve as executive director of the Albion Economic Development Corp.

Keele grew up in Missouri and her family later moved to Omaha, where she graduated from Omaha North High School in 2009.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in public health administration, with a minor in communications, from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2014.
After finishing college, Keele worked at the University of Nebraska Medical Center as assistant to the director of community and corporate relations. After moving to Boone County, she was director of nutrition services at the Neligh Care and Rehab Center, Neligh.
Miss Keele is engaged to Nathan Olson of Albion, and they are to be married Sept. 9, 2017. They recently purchased a home in Albion and are getting settled there. Nathan is a Channel Seeds salesman and helps on the family farm.
