Boone County 4-H members and leaders were recognized for their accomplishments during the past year at the annual 4-H Achievement Party hold Sunday, Oct. 29, at the fairgrounds in Albion.
A meal of hamburgers and hot dogs was served, compliments of Farm Credit Services of America and the Boone County 4-H Council.
Many local 4-H members, leaders and volunteers were recognized for their special efforts and years of participation in 4-H, according to Steve Pritchard, Extension educator in Boone and Nance counties.
Roger Voichoski of Albion received the 2017 Boone County Heart of 4-H Award. He has been involved as a volunteer in the Boone County 4-H program for many years. He also is past president of the 4-H Council.
