Boone Central High School senior Halie Andreasen was elected a member of the 2018-19 Nebraska State FFA Officer team during the annual FFA Convention last week.
Halie will serve with six other members from Nebraska over the course of the next year to promote agriculture and FFA throughout the state and country. She will be one of five state vice presidents in the organization.
Halie is also involved in FCCLA, and remained in Lincoln after the FFA Convention ended to attend the Nebraska FCCLA Convention.
In a telephone interview Monday, Andreasen said she is excited about her FFA duties during the coming year. “I’m looking forward to traveling the state and meeting with a lot of other students who love agriculture and want to make a difference,” she said.
Nebraska FFA officers serve in a variety of roles, including leadership training, facilitating events and representing Nebraska at the National FFA Convention.
