St. Patrick’s Day Festival draws big crowd

Sporting St. Patrick’s Day green, attendees try out some fun games at the fundraising event.

The annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival fundraiser hosted by St. Michael’s, held on Sunday, March 17, was a record-setting day for attendance, up 137 from last year.
In total, 667 meals were served at the event.
The roast beef and sausage dinner served by the Altar Society was a big hit, followed by a lively and fun competition for the live and silent auction items.
Children also enjoyed a little competition of their own while playing games such as ring-a-pop, jar ping pong toss, bean bag and tennis ball toss, balloon darts, basketball and football toss, plinko, bumper cars, duck and fish pond and other games.
Young and old alike also competed for the best cake at the cake walk.
The day ended with announcing the big raffle winners and the winner of the ATV or $5,000 cash raffle.
