State art conference coming to Albion

Glazed Grouper, also known as Glazing Goliath, is a mixed media collage by local artist Wendy Mues Bonge. It is one of nearly 300 pieces that will be competing at the ANAC State Conference to be held in Albion in June.

Albion will be hosting the Association of Nebraska Art Clubs’ (ANAC) annual state conference Wednesday through Saturday, June 19-22, at Boone Central High School.
ANAC President Wendy Mues Bonge of Albion has organized the event, which features nine artists offering classes to the state members and other art enthusiasts in attendance.
This year’s show judge is nationally known artist Joan Fullerton from Colorado. She will judge over 300 state qualified entries, with the top 26 awards further qualifying to tour the state for one year. Artist Fullerton will also be teaching three days of abstract acrylic classes.
