Planning Commission takes comments on zoning changes

Boone County Planning Commission spent nearly two hours Monday night, Feb. 25,  hearing public comments on possible changes in the county zoning regulations.

The commission is considering possible changes in the regulations during a moratorium on new confined livestock feeding operations. Last month, the board heard from various resource persons on a variety of subjects.

This month, most of the meeting was used for public discussion, beginning with a list of proposed zoning changes that came from three meetings of concerned citizens held in January. About 30 people were on hand for the discussion. Read more in the Feb. 27 Albion News.
