Shirley Petsche of Petersburg filed recently for a seat on the Nebraska Public Power District Board of Directors representing Subdistrict 9. Mrs. Petsche, who retired last fall after six years as executive director of the Boone County Development Agency, is one of six candidates seeking the position.
“I will bring to this office an awareness of the importance of low cost public power to economic development efforts in Nebraska,” Mrs. Petsche said.
Subdistrict 9 includes Boone, Butler, Colfax, Howard, Nance, Platte, Polk and Saunders counties.
