Candidates for the District 41 seat in the Nebraska Legislature covered topics ranging from maintaining highways to stabilizing rural population during the political forum last Sunday, April 6, in the Petersburg American Legion Hall.
All five candidates for the District 41 seat participated, along with four of the five candidates for the Nebraska Public Power District, Subdistrict 9.
The two Republican candidates for the District 2 seat on the Boone County Board of Commissioners, Jerry Tisthammer and Tom Fick, also spoke to the crowd of about 40 people. The event was sponsored by the Petersburg Community Club, with Hank Thieman serving as moderator.
After brief opening statements by each candidate, they responded to questions from the audience.
