Boone Central had one individual medalist and placed fifth in the team standings of the Lakeview Invitational golf tournament held April 24 at the Elks Country Club in Columbus.
In a battle of Mid-State Conference teams, Wayne won the event over Norfolk Catholic, 323-329. Catholic’s Keaton Knake (75) edged Greg Pohlmann (76) of Lakeview for individual gold medalist honors.
Senior Bobby Bolin led Boone Central, placing 13th with an 18-hole score of 83. The Cardinals finished with a 350 team total.
Bolin opened with a front-nine 39 before closing with a 44. Junior Bryce Morgan fashioned matching 43s on the front and back sides to post an 86 for the Cardinals.
Senior Taylor Majerus added an 88 and senior Brent Dawson rounded out the team score with a 93. Sophomore Tanner Warner shot 94 in his first varsity meet.
