Nickela Nicole Haddix/Tech

Nickela Nicole Haddix/Tech, 22,  her five-year-old son, Damien Haddix and her infant daughter Natalie Rae Marie Tech, died Saturday, June 21, in an automobile accident.
Funeral services for all three were held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 26, at the United Methodist Church in Albion. Reverend Glen Holtz officiated. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion.

A memorial fund has been established at Cornerstone Bank in Albion. Contributions may be made at any Cornerstone Bank location.

Rosalee Eckhoff

Rosalee Eckhoff, 78, of Gretna died  June 25, at the Gretna Care Center. A memorial service was held Monday, June 30, at 7 p.m. at Marcy Mortuary Chapel in Ashland with Rev. James Jost officiating. Another  memorial service will be held Saturday, July 12, at 12 noon at the United Methodist Church in Sutherland. Rev. Harun Gatobu will officiate. Burial will be in the Sutherland Cemetery.

Irene M. Oberbrockling

Irene Marie Oberbrockling, 93, of Elgin, died Tuesday, June 24, at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 27, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Elgin with Fr. Dan Andrews and Fr. Bernie Starman officiating. Burial was in the St. Bonaventure Catholic Cemetery in Raeville.

Kenneth A. Mundschenk

Kenneth A. Mundschenk, 87, of Flanagan, IL, died on Friday, June 20, 2008 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, IL. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 25 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Flanagan with Rev. Heidi Punt officiating. Burial was in the Center Cemetery in Flanagan with military graveside rites by Flanagan American Legion Post #456.
