A variety of events and activities highlighed the opening weekend of the Boone County Fair on July 19-20. The fair continues through Wednesday, July 23, and features racing in the evening entertainment lineup. Children are taking in many activities during the fair, and one of Sunday afternoon’s fun events was the Toad & Snake Races. The youngster shown above is urging his toad toward the finish line in one of the early races.
