A new school-unloading zone has been developed on the west side of the Boone Central School in Albion to promote safe and orderly unloading of students.
The angle parking north of the elementary entrance in this zone is restricted to only unloading preschool students. The drive-through/drop-off side south of the elementary entrance is available to all vehicles traveling north on Sixth Street to drop off students between 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Angle parking in this area south of the elementary entrance will then be available to anyone after 12:30 p.m. Please note that vehicles traveling south on Sixth street will be ticketed if they are stopping to unload students at any time.
The handicapped parking areas are clearly marked and painted blue to indicate parking for handicapped individuals only. Superintendent Larry Lambert noted that these areas are not to be used for regular parking or quick drop-offs.
“We would appreciate the cooperation of everyone in this effort to make Sixth Street safer for our students,” said Superintendent Lambert
