It’s going up brick by brick, step by step, as the 350 members of Manderson-Lehr Post #162, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #736 and their two auxiliaries raise funds for the Posts’ new building now under construction near downtown Albion.
Initial concrete work for the structure (above photo) began last week at the corner of Third and Church Streets.
The fund drive for finance the new building had passed the $70,000 mark and stood at $72,307.50.
