Construction work for Phase II improvements at Boone County Health Center is on schedule, and plans are being made for a public open house to feature the new facilities in late October.
This phase includes an impressive list of improvements, such as a new open MRI and digital x-ray room, expanded emergency room, a private surgery consultation room, a new admissions area and larger automatic doors at the main entrance.
For the past several weeks, patients and visitors have been using the hospital’s north entrance, but that will change next Monday, Sept. 15, when the main (east) entrance reopens.
“We are looking forward to returning the main entrance to its usual location and providing more convenience for all patients and visitors,” said Vic Lee, president and CEO of Boone County Health Center. “We appreciate the cooperation of everyone while we had to change the traffic patterns due to remodeling.”
