Hospital names new Foundation Director

Aprill MurphyAprill Murphy of Spalding earlier this month accepted the position as director of the Boone County Health Center Foundation.

Aprill and her husband, Tony, are the parents of three children. They live on a farm southwest of Spalding.

Aprill, the daughter of Leon and Jeanie Seier, is familiar with the foundation’s service area. She grew up in the Bartlett area and is a graduate of Wheeler Central High School. In addition, she holds an Associate degree in Business Administration from Central Community College, Grand Island.

“I look forward to building on the work of the previous Foundation directors, and to continue to build personal connections with our area residents,” said Mrs. Murphy. “This foundation has a strong history of excellent fundraising and completing projects with the generous support of many community residents that strengthen our hospital and medical clinics.”

“It’s important for our rural communities to have excellent health care, starting with our clinics, and I hope to continue that support,” said Murphy.

Before accepting the position at the foundation, Murphy was the office manager at Richard Martinsen, PC in Albion for five years. She recently completed work in Postmaster Relief for the U.S. Postal Service.
