Continuing her strong sophomore season, Boone Central’s Brooke Bolin placed second in the Wayne Invitational golf meet Thursday, Sept. 25.
Bolin fired matching 42s on the front and back nines at the Wayne Country Club, tieing Norfolk Catholic’s Isabella Baldacci at 84. Bolin won the tie-breaker for second place behind Danielle Kuchar of Humphrey St. Francis (82). Jacy Gasper of Scotus, second to Bolin in the Albion Invite a week ago, placed fourth (89).
Boone Central finished ninth in the 14-team field with a 488 total. Catholic won the team championship with a 375 score.
Supporting Bolin were Cardinals Kayla Kettelson (62/62-124), Sara Barnes (63/71-134), Anna Cleveland (72/74-146) and Breann Thorberg (89/79-168).
